Welcome to BACU Local 12
On behalf of myself and the Executive Board of Local 12, we would like to welcome you to our Web Page. BACU Local 12 is situated at 124 Sydney Street in Kitchener, Ontario.
This Local is an amalgamation of locals from Kitchener, Brantford, Guelph, and Owen Sound. We have a total membership of 309 including Journeymen, apprentices and retirees.
As part of the community, we annually help sponsor the Santa Claus Parade.
In March of 2010, we will be celebrating our 110th anniversary as a local, and we are presently preparing for our big event.
Local 12 is fortunate to be located in an area of Ontario which is ever-growing. We have three universities and a large community college. Our local services a population of over a million pepole with all the expansions and new buildings such as schools, hospitals, university residences, and commercial buildings. This keeps our active membership fairly busy.
As the economy is ever-changing with demands and challenges for the future, we here in Local 12 feel that we have the skill level and the level of professionalism to meet the needs of our growing community.
